In 2006, Gladstone Park SDA Church and Rivergate Adventist
Elementary voted to partner in a building Project that would add a
multi-use church Fellowship Hall to the existing church facility and
provide a Junior High Wing for the school.
To accommodate its Ever-expanding Ministries, the church must take
to add a Fellowship Hall. Presently. the church conducts its evening
classes, dinners, socials and business meetings in the Youth Chapel.
With an enrollment of 160 students plus Waiting List, the school has
fully outgrown its present circumstances. For the past ten years,
the school has been sharing Sabbath School classroom space with the
church. But with the constant demand for educational upgrades, this
“borrowed” area is no longer sufficient for the school’s needs.
So, why the combined building project?
Two can Build Cheaper than One.
And constructing one addition is cheaper than building two.
In planning and designing this new structure, thoughtful and
prayerful consideration has been given to both present and future
needs. Every attempt has been made to create an environment in which
our members can continue to grow spiritually, our students will
flourish intellectually, and generations to come will thrive and go
forward with our important ministry.
The addition will be two floors and total 19,488 square feet.
The Upper Floor will be occupied by the church and include a dinning
area with stage, kitchen, food and equipment storage and new
handicap accessible restrooms.
The Lower Floor will be occupied by the school and include handicap
accessible restrooms with lockers and showers, kiln room, staff
workroom, a chapel and Pathfinder club space.
Total cost of the completed project is approximately 1.4 million.
Value to the church and school family, as well as the local
community...
Priceless.
